Roll grinder for light rolls, whose structure consists of a longitudinal bed that supports the bottom and top table. The top table accommodates the headstock, the tailstock, the steady rests and the roll to be ground and all this assembly performs the longitudinal motion (Z axis). The cross bed is located perpendicular to this one and provides the X axis travel through the motion of the grinding head along its guideways. The roll measuring system and roll testing (eddy current and ultrasonic) system – optional equipment- are located on the grinding wheel head support.
Roll grinder suitable for grinding a wide range of rolls (work, intermediate, back-up, as well as special design rolls). The machine structure consists of two parallel beds, roll bed and wheel bed. The first one accommodates the tailstock, steady rests and the roll to be ground and the latter supports the grinding wheel carriage that performs the Z axis motion along this bed. The cross motion (X axis) is performed by the grinding wheel head along the carriage guideways. The roll measuring system and roll testing (eddy current and ultrasonic) system – optional equipment- are located on the grinding wheel head carriage.
